A Newton killer?

I think you might mean a Windows Tablet PC killer. Keep an eye out for both an expanded functionality iPod and an OSX-powered slate or tablet-based Mac in the near future. That's where my bet is being placed. The Newton OS was amazing for its time - and is still amazing in many ways - but for Apple, and specifically Steve Jobs, it's a technology that's been dead and buried.

Period.
