I posted some information in the previous note to Way. I hope this helps a bit.

My setup is currently as follows. I have a fixed IP subnet (eight static IP addresses) through ADSL. The ADSL modem plugs directly into a NetGear fast ethernet switch which also connects together my router (a PowerMac 8500 running Sustainable Softworks IPNetRouter), my primary web server (a PowerMac 9600MP running WebStar 4.4), the Newted Community server (a Cobalt Qube 2 running Apache 1.3), and all of the other machines in the house, including my MP2100. The Newton uses a Farallon ethernet card and an EtherWave dongle to patch into the switch. All devices connect to the switch currently use one of the static IP addresses assigned by my ISP to my subnet.
